Food is our life. It always has been. From working with specific farms selecting the freshest fruits and vegetables from the markets daily, to sourcing suppliers we work with for meats, seafoods and assorted raw materials, we are always looking for the very best quality, to produce the very best food.
It takes a little bit of magic and a lot of passion to deliver the best tasting, creatively inspired menus to our customers. We have always held ourselves to an exceptional standard, whether it be the most extravagant of events to the smallest bespoke ones.
To consistently meet these high standards, both in delivery, service and of course the quality of the food we produce, we have only the very best people working on our team. We’d like to introduce you to some of the inspirational people who make the food worth coming back for at Bella Catering.
PAUL KATSIDIS AND MARIA DE PASQUALE
Co Owners and Visionaries
Coming from a food background their entire working lives, coupled with their extended family also working in various businesses across the hospitality industry, these two hardworking individuals were destined to end up in the food industry. The brother and sister duo of Paul and Maria are the backbone and heart of the business. Their tenacity, coupled with countless hours invested into the company, are the reason the business is where it is today.
Brought up to have a love for all types of food, their vision was to produce a high end catering company that expressed that variety and quality. Through their want to constantly evolve the business and search for new food ideas and culinary experiences, both Paul and Maria enjoy returning from abroad with new ideas and tastes to try out in the kitchen.
From humble beginnings starting in their first Café together in North Sydney some 15 years ago, to the present day; 4 cafes later with an impressive state of the art catering kitchen, custom built in Artarmon. The Bella Catering and Events Company, services their inhouse café’s, as well as catering and events for corporate businesses and private customers alike.
Zac has been part of the Bella Family over the last 4 years. A nomadic spirit at heart, his professionalism and respect for the end product, emanate through his cooking.
Having a long history in the hotel industry with backgrounds in Crown Plaza Coogee, Avillon Hotel Sydney and Shoal Bay Resort and Spa, have seen Zac run multiple kitchens and also functions departments.
An extremely competent all rounder, with a strong connection to the land, Zac works with a sense of respect and family, and we love that here at Bella.
Our latest addition to the Kitchen team brings with him over 22 years of experience. Hailing from a background of Executive chef at Sydney’s iconic Bills restaurant, Ravesis at Bondi Beach and Merivale’s Macleay Brasserie, Richard’s culinary discipline and methodical approach brings another dimension to the team.
With a brief hiatus from Australia, leading him abroad for a few years to head a well known Pan- Asian establishment in London. We welcome Richard on board and can’t wait to see his wealth of knowledge impart through the team.
DIRECTOR AND OPERATIONS MANAGER
Glen De Pasquale
We’re not sure you will find a harder worker than Glen. One of the first team members in and usually one of the last to leave, Glen has worked for over 15 years directing the operations side of our business. Originally working logistics for large organisations such as Pizza Hut and Village Roadshow, has armed Glen with the knowledge and skills to run our kitchen with precision. His thirst for improvement in all things quality control and efficiency in the kitchen is paramount to the success of Bella.
Sales, Marketing and Events Manager
Highly organised with a meticulous attention to detail, Donna’s creativity and knowledge of her product ensures effortless organisation of every event from start to finish.
With strengths in events management and a main background in Sales and Marketing from over 16 years in the building industry, the traits learnt over a long career of growing brand awareness, corporate management and problem solving of high pressure situations make Donna an Integral part of the Sales and Events team.
IN THE COMMUNITY
We feel it’s important to support the community that supports us, so we love getting on board with helping others.
From our cafes supporting Daffodil Day for cancer awareness, to our catering company supporting our corporate clients with ‘The Biggest Morning tea’, ‘Are you OK Day’ and ‘White Ribbon Day’. We offer special rates for customers who are running any charity run catered event.
